At this year’s spectacular event, Marbella’s very own Dani Garcia paid tribute to the French chef Joel Röbuchon, considered by many as the best chef in the world, while at the same time managing to bring together a total of 71 Michelin stars under one roof.
This friendly get-together would not have been possible had it not been for the unique personality and close relationships of Dani Garcia and his team, who managed to attract an incredible total of 18 of the world’s most influential chefs, who contributed to the special occasion in which their talent and creativity shone through. Friends such as Joan Roca, Paco Roncero, Andoni Luis Aduriz, Paco Pérez, and Quique Dacosta were joined from abroad by Daniel Humm and Sebastian Frank. These and many others, all joined forces to reinterpret the French chef’s most signature dishes.
The highlights of the following days were the fascinating creations presented by Ángel León, Paco Morales and Dani Garcia in their Unplugged dinner, which involved cooking using pre-1995 techniques, which meant no use of nitrogen or other modern methods which have become standard in the 21st Century.
On the night of the 20th April, the stars of the show were 3-Michelin star chef Daniel Humm and Dani Garcia, who worked in perfect harmony fusing the most innovative cuisine from New York with the Andalusian influences of the local chef.
The perfect finale came as host Dani Garcia and Austrian chef Sebastian Frank showed how a keen enthusiasm for the product can be combined with such innovative techniques that are representative of Marbella’s most famous chef.
It was such a historical event that we already can’t wait to see what surprises they have in store for next year.
